By a beautiful coincidence, the two countries closest to my heart celebrate the national day on consecutive days. Romania, my native country, celebrate its 97th Great Union Day on the 1st, United Arab Emirates, my adoptive country for seven wonderful years, celebrate their 44th Union Day, on the 2nd of December.

The Endless Column, by Constantin Brancusi. Erected in 1935, in my native town, Targu-Jiu, the artwork represents the ideas of infinity, axis mundi, the connection between Heaven and Earth.
Burj Khalifa. Probably no need for introduction here, the tallest building in the world, inaugurated in 2010, in Downtown Dubai.

Chicago is covered in snow right now, and I still have unshared photos from my last summer trip to the windy city. All the below photos were taken with Nikon D5300, Nikkor 40mm.

Trio. Weekly photo challenge
It is my first time participating in a photo challenge on the blog :). I was actually looking for a theme to post the below picture, taken in Bucharest, at The Village Museum when I came across WordPress’ “what comes in three” challenge.
Voila, taken with Fujifilm X-T1, 56mm, in October.
Something old, something blue
Whenever I go to Bucharest, I make sure I go to a flea market – not that I buy much, but I just love to see all the vintage items, most of it high quality stuff. This time it was almost dark when I got there, so I used maximum aperture (1.2) to take these photos (with XT-1, 56mm).

11.11.15 Veterans’ Day in Dallas
I have no words to add to this, images speak for themselves. Maybe just this: I hope we can all find a way to live in peace.

We did it again, me and Maggie. Hit the streets of Dallas for a new photoshoot, this time with a new toy, Fujifilm x-T1, 56mm. Actually hit the streets is too much said, as I’ve been obsessing over the new mural art in Dallas’ Deep Ellum, created by Adrian Torres, for quite some time. Imagine my joy when I heard Maggie is obsessed with elephants! 🙂 Once we got there, we couldn’t leave anymore.

PS Few of pics are taken with my x100S (23/35mm), I guess those who care about the camera and lens will spot those easily.
