Global Photo Walk 2015, Dallas (and my little drama)
So here I am, coming home from a great photo walk in Downtown Dallas this morning, with a new camera and lens I love, pretty excited to see the photos I took, to discover more than half of them are nowhere to be found. More than half of the walk has vanished from my camera. I suspect a card malfunction, but really I don’t want to think too much about it. I still have few to share, although the ones I was most excited about are gone.
Sometimes happens, in my case was with a Canon EF, a film camera, the shutter was stuck so when I saw the negatives all where just a white and impossible to recover mess, so I felt like a monkey that had played funny posses with a metallic brick around a lake…
if they aren’t in the card to share at least are going to be in your memory to treasure. I could suggest to try a recovery in your card reader just by the way, and try to think if it was under a situation with common characteristics (perhaps a button pressed by chance at the same time. The important now I think is to be sure what is the problem so it’s not going to spoil your next memories. Regards.

It is the first time it happens to me, but I’ll make sure next time I’ll pay more attention… It is a bit heartbreaking, but I think is better it happened now (imagine how would be to have this issue after you shoot a wedding or an event..).

I guess that would be terrible, fortunately I’m just a hobbyist, for that reason I use just an old aps-c camera with a fixed lens zoom camera. In any case I hope this doesn’t happens to you to, I know it’s a bit selfish reason :D, can appreciate your work ☺

Oh, that is a devastating feeling – to know you have lost some photos. It’s always hard to conciliate. At least the ones you showcase here are all lovely images.

Thank you so much Otto, I guess this is one of those things that sooner or later happens to anyone, I just hope will never happen when I work for a client :).
